The Holland Charter Township Parks Department is comprised of 5 full-time employees and 25 seasonal employees. The Parks Department is responsible for all parks, athletic fields, boat launches, more than 70 miles of bike path system, township facilities, and two cemeteries.

General Parks Guidelines

  • All Holland Charter Township parks are open daily from 6:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.
  • Alcoholic beverages are prohibited at all parks.
  • Pets are allowed but are required to be on a leash and are not allowed on athletic fields. Please pick up after your pet.
  • Parking is prohibited on all grassy areas.
  • The hunting, trapping or killing of animals in Holland Charter Township Parks is prohibited. “It shall be unlawful for any unauthorized person to chase, trap, injure, molest, kill, annoy or remove any animal, either wild or domestic, on land, in the air or in the water in any park.” ( Ords. 1987, § 20.252(d); Code 1991, § 9-5)

Pavilion and Picnic Shelters within Park System

Holland Charter Township offers four different pavilions—including the Helder Park Large Pavilion, Dunton Park West Pavilion, Quincy Park West Pavilion, and Quincy Park Easy Pavilion—for rental. All other park pavilions are available for usage on a first come, first served basis.

When pavilions are not rented, they are available on a first come, first served basis.

Holland Charter Township Park Pavilion Rental Information

Holland Township Parks and Recreation continues to offer pavilion rentals during the 2025 season. We will be offering pavilion rentals for four different pavilions throughout our parks system. All other pavilions within our parks are still available on a first-come, first served basis. When rentable pavilions are not reserved, they are available for use on a first-come, first served basis. 

Reservations are open to residents and non-residents of Holland Township. Reservation requests for the 2025 calendar year will begin on January 1, 2025. 

Once the pavilion rental request is received, Holland Township Parks and Recreation staff will review the request and a decision will be made. Please allow up to 24 hours to have your request reviewed. If your request is approved, a reservation confirmation will be sent to you with details on submitting payment for the reservation. If we are unable to grant the request, we will notify you as well.

Reservation Times (Rental Season runs May 1-October 1)

  • Half Day: 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
  • Full Day: 10:00 a.m.- 7:00 p.m.

Athletic Field Spaces

Even though the parks are open to public use, Holland Charter Township rents out various athletic fields (soccer, softball, etc.) and hosts Holland Charter Township Parks and Recreation-sponsored events throughout the year that take precedence.
