The Holland Charter Township Recreation Department is highly dependent on our parent & volunteer coaches for most of our programs to make leagues an overall success.
Volunteer Application & Background Check Details
For those that are interested in volunteering with the Holland Township Recreation Department at any capacity - head coach, assistant coach, parent helper, program volunteer, etc. You must complete the Holland Charter Township Recreation Department - Volunteer Application and accompany this completed application with a Government Issued Photo ID, which gives us the permission to do a background check.
Concussion Training Course Details
It is a requirement by the State of Michigan & the Holland Charter Township Recreation Department that all coaches, employees, volunteers and other adults involved with a youth athletic activity to complete a concussion awareness online training program course. The State of Michigan was the 39th state to enact a law that regulates sports concussions. This law went into full effect on June 30th, 2013.
It is a requirement by Holland Township Recreation that once you complete this online course, a Holland Township Recreation Staff Member needs to receive a copy of your course completion certificate. Please see - Concussion Course Details information sheet for more information.
Specific Little League Details
Little League Baseball and Softball Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Parent Helpers, Volunteers & Staff are required to fill out an additional form per Little League requirements. Form - Little League Volunteer Application 2020
